Japan Wants to Strengthen Economic and Security Cooperation with Cambodia

TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has expressed his desire to boost economic and security ties with Cambodia.

In a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen on Tuesday morning, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida thanked the Cambodian government for accepting Japanese Self-Defense Force Ships to dock in Cambodian waters earlier this year. In addition, he mentioned that the work Japan is doing in Cambodia needs to continue, especially in relation to the economic sector.
